SIAD Romania will provide over the coming years liquid oxygen for the Executor rocket engine, the "heart" of the entire ARCA Space Program. This engine will propel the IAR-111 supersonic aircraft, the Haas 2 and the Super Haas rockets.

The lunar robot is an ambitious project which we hope will become a landmark that will encourage young people to follow the bold paths in life, to try the unknown, to be leaders in what they do and not to be discouraged by circumstances which are not always favorable.

ARCA finished work on the combustion chamber and nozzle of the first Executor engine for the IAR-111 Excelsior supersonic plane and the Haas II orbital rocket. The structure is made of two main layers: an internal layer for thermal protection made of silica fiber and epoxy resin, and an external layer for structural resistance made of carbon fiber and epoxy resin

Two months ago, ARCA began to expand the work space for the IAR 111 construction and development. This was necessary because of the large scale components of the airplane. The biggest component has a weight of almost five tones.

The team completed the molds and calibers for the all sections of the IAR-111 supersonic airplane. This means that we are able to build a whole series of airframes on these molds and calibers. However, only two airframes will be completed as planed to date. The first airframe will be used on static tests and then it will be sent to make taxi tests and low level flights. The second airframe will be used for supersonic flights at high altitudes, including the flights for the Google Lunar X Prize Competition

The work on front fuselage of the IAR-111 Excelsior is underway. The team estimate to complete the work on this section in a couple of weeks, not including the assembly. The structure is made of composite materials made if epoxy resin and S type fiber glass and carbon fiber

The Northrop/McDonnell Douglas YF-23 was a prototype fighter aircraft designed for the United States Air Force. The YF-23 was a finalist in the U.S. Air Force's Advanced Tactical Fighter competition. Two YF-23s were built and were nicknamed "Black Widow II" and "Gray Ghost", respectively. The YF-23 lost the contest to the Lockheed YF-22, which entered production as the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.
